Legislative Action Fund
In order to be more effective in protecting our members' interests, we are becoming more
involved in helping to shape public policy on a local, state and national level. We have
established a new Legislative Action Fund that will be used solely to promote corporate aviation
interests in Minnesota and in Washington, D.C.. This fund will be dedicated exclusively to the
following areas:
Lobbying expenses for MBAA officers and Government Affairs Liaison, including travel, meals, hotel, and parking
Financial sponsorship for upcoming events such as the Aviation Forum being hosted by the SPCC (St. Paul Chamber of Commerce)
Monthly stipend for Government Affairs Liaison
Advertising costs, mailers, printing, postage, and other media costs
Your involvement and your dollars are critical to ensuring a vibrant and growing business aviation industry in Minnesota. 2007 is a
critical year on both a state and national level. From the airlines' crippling user-fee proposal to a state bill that would dramatically
increase insurance costs for small aircraft operators, these and other issues require our constant vigilance. Our industry is being
challenged on several levels, and this ultimately affects you and your family.
By making a donation to this fund, you are making a difference in ensuring that we get our message out in a clear, professional way.
Your contribution helps us to leverage our influence with local, regional, state and national leaders. It also gives us the resources to
work closely with the national corporate aviation associations, such as NBAA, NATA and AOPA.
Thank you for your support. Together we will ensure that business aviation stays strong for you and business aviation professionals
all over Minnesota.
