MBAA at MSUM's Corporate Aviation Open House - April 2022

April 2022 --

The MBAA was well represented at April's Minnesota State University, Mankato's Business Aviation Open House!

Hosted in the PRO TRAIN Aviation hangar at KMKT, MSUM Aviation students gathered to learn about the career opportunities in business and corporate av that are available to them in and around Minnesota!

This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the #bizav industry to the students - many of which were not yet familiar with the many career options available for them. The planting of these seeds and continuous outreach efforts are needed to grow the industry.

Thanks to Cheri Rohlfing, MSUM Professor, for spear heading this awesome event, to Jason for hosting, and to Deb and Jennifer for all their work in coordinating the overall event!

And a tremendous thanks goes to all the panelists, the industry reps, the generous donors for their support, as well as a big thank you to the students for joining us.

The event is planned to continue and be an annual gathering with room for growth and expansion in the future years. We welcome and encourage more MBAA representation at events like this in our community!

NBAA's "Flight Plan" Podcast - March 2022

"Why Did You Choose a Career in Business Aviation?"

Our industry is full of people with unique and often inspirational stories about what first drew them to business aviation. Three young professionals (YoPros) share what attracted them to the industry, and how they hope to inspire its future leaders. “The fact we’re able to make a global world local [and] can experience so many different locales, and come across so many diverse individuals, was something that really intrigued me,” says Clay Lacy Aviation’s Jordan Scales.

In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with:

  • Jessica Belcher, sales and marketing executive, Exclusive Aircraft Sales
  • Jordan Scales, associate aircraft manager, Clay Lacy Aviation
  • Kristen Stimpert, PC-12 first officer, AirSF
