Professional Development for MBAA Members

The Minnesota Business Aviation Association is proud to offer financial support for professional development exclusively to our members. To help sustain and grow the business aviation industry in Minnesota, the MBAA will offer a scholarship to current members seeking additional training opportunities through events, conferences, and professional development sessions offered by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).

Announcing the MBAA's 2025 Training Scholarships:

The MBAA’s scholarship committee is excited to  announce these outstanding training scholarship opportunities:

• ATP/CTP Course from Flight Safety International
• Excel/XLS SIC Type from CAE
• Each with additional stipend from MBAA for travel, hotel, and meals.

Requirements:

• Completed 2025 Scholarship Cover Letter (fillable PDF)
• Copy of your current resume
• Copies of all FAA ratings or certificates held
• Commercial Pilot Certificate, Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings
• A 250 to 500-word essay describing the applicant’s previous background, current involvement, and demonstration of their commitment to pursuing a professional career in business aviation.
• A letter of recommendation from a member of the business aviation community or professional contact. (Other than relatives or students)
• Preference will be given towards Minnesota residents/students followed by that of surrounding states.

Successful applicants should meet the following requirements:

- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen

- Applicants must be an active MBAA member (eligible categories include individual, associate, affiliate, and corporate membership levels)

Applicants will need to complete an interview with a representative of MBAA.

Previous recipients may be eligible for repeat scholarships at the committee’s discretion.
